What Does SEO Mean 1st Of All?

Search engines are programs running & showing items in their database that correspond to your typed online questions or (“Search Queries”).

Examples Of Platforms That Have Search Engines:

If you have an online business today, you need to get on the best friends list of Google. Social media, especially Facebook, can also drive tons of prospects to your business, but it’s not suitable for all niches.

Some niches are more social media friendly than others. If you’re in a niche that people don’t bother sharing with their friends and family, then Google is your best friend.

Posts on social media have a shorter shelf life too. Information on search engines last much longer online.

Your prospects are actively searching for your offers on Google. When you put ads on social media, they interrupt. People don't actively seek them.

SEO is the best way to get millions of readers to your websites for free!

Imagine how this could affect your business, profits, impact, and authority? Wouldn’t all this improve your self-confidence, value, success, and status?

I’ve experienced this with several client websites and can assure you -- acquiring new clients for free feels amazing!

Why You Need To Take SEO Seriously?

  • It's a free source of traffic.
  • Business revenue will increase.
  • Research and writing will improve your skills & understanding.
  • It'll help you secure your content and make it safer.
  • It'll help you understand the needs of your business.

These are the 7 Things To Consider For Google To Love Your Website - At The 1st Sight:

1- Avoid Blunders That Make You Undiscoverable

Be discoverable. Because this will help the millions of people who don’t even know you exist, but search for topics related to what you do..

To be discoverable, include the popular Search Queries related to popular topics in your market to your Keywords Arsenal. Create a Google Sheet & list these Keywords.

Get out of your own head and research the market & your competitors.

1-1 You Can Use These SEO And Keywords Tools:

Research your competitors. Check out what keywords bring them the most traffic. What keywords they’re bidding or paying for. Keywords Bidding means advertisers bid for certain keywords so their ads appear first in Google's results’ pages.

1-2 Include relevant keywords in all these places on your website:

  • Meta descriptions
  • Website & SEO title tags
  • Page title tags & slugs
  • Pictures Captions & Alts
  • Headlines (including subheadlines)
  • Body copy of your pages & posts
  • The URLs of your pages & posts

Be available too. When people search for your name or business, they have to find you first thing on Google results page.

Include your business name in your Keywords Arsenal. It’s good practice to include your activity in your business name too.

1-3 Include Your Business Name In All These Places:

  • Your website name
  • The title and SEO tag of your website
  • “About You” page
  • The title tag of your “About You” page & slug
  • The caption & Alt of the image of your “About You” page
  • The meta description of your “About You” page
  • The URL of your “About You” page

Following these steps will help you stay available & discoverable.

2- Detect Your Prospects` Intent And Context

Your prospect’s intent is what you should be focusing on. For example, if your prospect’s search queries are “horses for sale”, it would make sense that they want to know about “buying a horse”.

Your prospects’ context is why they want to search for something. Following the horse example above, the question to discover context is understanding why they want to know about “buying a horse”?

Questions To Clarify Prospects Search Contexts:

  • Are they comparing the prices of different horses?
  • Are they buying horses to compete in horse shows?
  • Are they dealers trading horses for clients’ accounts?
  • Are they horse owners who want to sell their own horses?

Give them what they want. Then you can offer to sell them what they need.

3- Stand Out Without Screwing Your Ranking

Create stellar content. To stand out in the crowd, create superior quality content. Don’t try to black hat Google in any way. You shouldn't buy links, link wheels, link pyramids, links in directories, or text links. Or Google will penalize you.

Research what are the hot topics in your niche that people talk about & share the most?

Unfortunately, you can’t make an unpopular topic popular. This is a fact that data shows.

What you can do is tackle a popular topic from a different angle. You can have a unique take on it. You can be contrarian, illuminating or even sarcastic. But you can’t light a fire without a flame.

You can’t create interest out of thin air. If you were not interested in SEO, you wouldn’t have reached this point in this post, no matter what.

Tools bring traffic. Having a new tool on your website is another very good tactic to bring more visitors to your site. They’ll also share it in their circles. A good example is Neil Patel’s Ubersuggest tool or this Keyword Tool:

You can buy tools’ code scripts. You can find tools’ code scripts that you can buy and embed on your website at online marketplaces like Code Canyon.

Remember, you need to retain traffic. Not just gain traffic. Not just any traffic. But traffic that converts.

4- Get Your Keywords List In 50 Minutes Flat

Gather your own Keywords List. Typically you need about 7 keywords that generate a minimum of 7000 visitors a month.

Use the tools mentioned earlier to find the most popular:

  • Blog posts
  • Social groups
  • Forums
  • Influencers
  • Websites
  • Blogs
  • Youtube videos
  • Google pictures

Check out the best-selling books on Amazon in your niche. Read the good & bad reviews. Spot the patterns & trends of what people want and struggle with the most.

Find hot topics. Build your keyword list based on the hot topics. Include the words people use the most in their search queries when searching for products & services similar to yours. Use Answer The Public tool to get ideas.

Use Google Keyword Planner to figure out the keywords that your competitors are paying for the most. It’s free but you have to create a Google Ads account to be able to use it.

Learn from your competitors. Those who have already achieved your goals. Success leaves clues. When they pay the highest bids for certain keywords, it means these keywords convert the best.

Include the best converting ones on your list. Don’t follow the common advice recommending long-tail keywords that have low competition and cheap prices. These too can be good for you, but it requires more work and time to yield the results you want.

You get what you pay for. Look for quality over quantity. If you can’t convert prospects into clients with the best converting keywords in your space, the cheapest ones will not help either. It doesn't serve your business much to rank first for a keyword that doesn't bring traffic or conversions.

If the best keywords don’t work, it means keywords is not the problem. You need to test different offers, audiences, messages or creatives. One variant at a time. Set analytics and metrics to measure and get feedback. You can’t improve what you can’t measure.

Pay to test keywords if you can. Shortlist your keywords to the few best-performing ones. These should be around 7 plus or minus 2. Build your content and SEO strategy around these keywords. Typically they are 3-5 word sentences.

Test one variant at a time. Measure your results to turn bad days into good data and feedback. Figure out what works & do more of it.

Stop doing what doesn’t work. The ultimate objective is to improve and optimize your SEO rankings over the long term. Reduce your ad spend or abandon it completely. It takes time & work. Be patient.

5- Attract Influencers Without Being Pushy

Entice influencers to share your content. Google likes content that people like and share. This is what makes their users engage and spend more time and money on their platforms. You and the influencers in your market are not any different.

We’re all competing for clients and prospects’ attention.

Reach out to influencers. A good way to entice influencers to talk about and share your content is to make it about them. For example, you can make a list post about the main 7 influencers in your niche. What makes them special, their unique added value, how they gain authority and the lessons that inspire the less experienced.

Doing this work yourself is where the gold is. You’ll learn so much about your ideal clients, what they want, their pain & what words they use to express all that. The insights you’ll get are priceless.

Consider your website a separate & independent business with its own digital marketing, operating & financing plans.

6- Don’t Get Backlinks Before You Set Up Your Internal Links

Backlinks are crucial. Backlinks are the other websites that link to your website. The more you can entice influencers to talk about your work & share it, the more backlinks you will get.

Become a member of different vibrant communities in your market sector. So you can have links to your website listed on their directories too. You can also share your link on different social media pages, groups & on their resources’ page if their rules allow it.

Backlinks influence your ranking in the search engine. On-page optimization determines the keywords you rank for. Get backlinks then do page optimization.

Internal links are also important. These are links in your posts and content leading to other posts and content internally on your website. It makes sense to build them before worrying about external links.

Make sure you drive external traffic to well-paved roads. Lead your prospects to smooth user experiences that wow them and give them aha moments. Help them stay longer on your site. They will become more familiar with your brand. It’s how you increase the odds of your audience engaging & sharing your content.

Don't use free themes. Make sure your theme is SEO optimized, interactive and dynamic.

Make sure to use SSL Certificate, cashing and anti-spam plugins.

The Links Formula is:

 (links -> Ranking -> Visitors -> Conversion -> Sales -> Profits)

“The objective is not to make your links appear natural. The objective is that your links are natural” said Matt Cutts, Head of Google’s Web Spam Team.

7- Don’t Worry About Optimizing For Web Crawlers

A Web crawler is a bot that browses the internet, typically for the purpose of indexing.

Optimize for ranking. Google the top ranking content and ask yourself: how can I improve it? Is there something missing, or an insight I can add to the mix? How can I add value?

Google loves 3000-word ultimate guides. This is where you can offer unique value by showing a little known secret, insight, extensive in depth analysis, case study, sharing an inspiring experience, tools, resources or a time sensitive opportunity.

Google favors freshness. Google wants everybody to be happy by offering updated, relevant and popular results to its searchers.

Optimize for profit. Traffic without conversion is vanity.

7-1 The profit comes from sales. Your Sales Formula is:

(number of visitors x conversion rate = sales)

Your conversion is when your visitors take the one action you want them to take on your page.

The one action can be for example: visiting another page internally or externally, getting a coupon discount, a download, scheduling a call, meeting, or buying a product or service.

7-2 Your Conversion Rate % Formula is:

(number of visitors who took action x 100 / total number of visitors)

Working as a corporate lawyer for leading IT companies for over two decades, I can tell you, you might be better today if you don’t know the SEO crawler's rules.

What you need to know about Google Crawler is that it only follows links that are in this format:

<a href="https://yourwebsite.com">

Write what you would naturally write to offer the best value and content that solve specific problems for a specific target audience.

Be of service to people. Interview influencers. Be an active member of associations, charities, & communities. Help people & offer them your freebies to add value.

Make sure you comply with GDPR rules when dealing with European audience even if you're not in the EU Region.

Speak from a stage. Get involved. Genuinely help people & solve their problems and they’ll come to you again and again. The larger the problems you solve and the more people you help, the more audience you’ll get. The more authority you’ll build.

It takes time to rank on Google. You need at least 7 months to see real results.

True giving leads to press and mainstream media. This is what we lawyers do in jurisdictions where advertising our professional services is illegal.
